ICL2012

Scope of the conference

This interdisciplinary conference aims to focus on the exchange of relevant trends and research results as well as the presentation of practical experiences gained while developing and testing elements of interactive collaborative learning. Therefore pilot projects, applications and products will also be welcome.
This Twin-Conference will be organized by the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences Villach, Austria in cooperation with:

Types of sessions

  • Full Paper sessions: 20 minutes presentation followed by a panel discussion. This papers will be reviewed by the program committee.
"Full Paper" is a “review-to-present” submission type. Each paper must have at least one author participating in the reviewing process. Please check with your co-authors to make sure that at least one of you has agreed to be a reviewer.
  • Short paper sessions: 15 minutes presentation
  • Interactive demonstrations: 15 minutes demonstration of tools and solutions.
  • Round Table Discussions: Work in progress, late papers, doctoral thesis discussions
  • Poster sessions
Other opportunities to participate:
  • Run a workshop or tutorial. Proposals should clearly indicate the topic, background knowledge expected of the participants, objectives, and the qualifications of the instructor.
  • Organize a  thematic session or a panel. Proposals should include a minimum of three  papers, a session title, a list of the topics covered, and qualifications of the session organizer. The name of the session organizer will appear in the program and the proceeding
Only submissions in English will be accepted.

Proceedings

The conference proceedings will be published on CD in cooperation with IEEE Press (ISBN number), will be available via IEEE Explore and will be listed in EI Compendex, Elsevier SCOPUS, IET Inspec, and other main list services.


Some authors will be invited to submit extended versions of their paper for publication in one of the journals of OnlineJournals.ORG .

General information

The conference venue is the CCV Villach.
Villach is located in the southern part of Austria near Italy and Slovenia and can easily be reached by aircraft (Klagenfurt, Ljubljana, Salzburg), by train (EC) and highway (Autobahn).
